The purpose of this page is to inform all of what is happening in the  PRLHS art classes.
Our students have amazing talents in a variety of mediums that need to be seen!
Thank you so very much for joining me on their adventure!

Art Comprehension 1
Students researched Illuminated Letters and designed on paper the first letter of their first/last name.  They used acrylic paint and finished with gold embossing.

Art in Fashion
Students learned and mastered the four hand stitches: running, back, catch, whip, and blanket. They are currently learning the parts of the sewing machine and sewing on lines.

Students in Drawing class are doing an incredible job.  They've been researching what record album covers are and designing their own with a band and title of the album.  After creating a rough draft, they transfer their work onto a pre-made album.

Students are taking turns working on the potters wheel.  They've watched instructional videos and now practice, practice, practice.  While not on the wheel, they are hand-building clay faces that imitate carved wood.

After a successful project modeling after Louise Nevelson work, the students are challenged with creating a two story tree house out of pasta and white glue.
