Local Scholarships

Instructions:

• 1. Click Common Scholarship Application link below- create a copy, save to your Google Drive.  Complete the application.

  2. Click the scholarship name of each scholarship you want to apply to- create a copy, save to your Google Drive.  Complete the cover page and supplemental essays (if applicable).

  3. Print everything that is listed on the scholarships Application Checklist - create a packet.

  4. Turn packet into PRLJ/SHS Counseling Center.

Common Application Scholarships

• Angels Over Sandpoint : For any Bonner County senior who overcame personal obstacles and demonstrates financial need.

• Angels Over Sandpoint ARTS: This years 2025 Scholarship is focused on: Theater and Dance

• Angels Over Sandpoint Hutter Scholarship:  For any Bonner County Senior interested in receiving a two-year AA/AS degree or Trade Certification.

• Bonner County 4-H Horse Scholarship: Open to any Bonner County senior who is currently enrolled in the horse program and has participated for at least 3 years.

• Bonner County 4-H Leaders Council: For any Bonner County senior who has at least 4 years of 4-H and are currently enrolled in a Bonner County 4-H program. 

• Bonner County McNall Scholarship: For any Bonner County member with at least three years membership in 4-H and a demonstration of leadership.

• Bonner County 4-H Robert Koca: For any Bonner County senior who is involved in 4-H and entering a Career Technical field. 

• Bonner County Democrat's Eric Bruhjell: For any Bonner County Senior graduating this year pursuing post-secondary education.

• Bonner County Sportsman Foundation: For any graduating Senior in Bonner County this year perusing higher education and technical training.

• Community Assistance League: For any Bonner County senior. Based on academic achievement, personal goals, motivation, school and community involvement, financial need and general application appearance.

• Darby & Amber Campbell Memorial: For any Bonner County senior who has shown actions that support human rights and the ability to express in words ideals in harmony with the Bonner County Human Rights Task Force mission.

• Don McCormick Memorial: For any Bonner County senior who is pursing a field in the health sciences with a 2.5 or better GPA.

• Elks Community: For any Bonner County senior who has demonstrated community involvement and are continuing their post-secondary education. (Student of the Month recipients are also eligible for the Student of the Month scholarship. No extra application needed.) 

• Erik Robin Bruhjell Memorial sponsored by the Bonner County Human Rights Task Force: For any Bonner County Senior graduating this year pursuing post-secondary education.

• Ethan Murray Foundation: Open to any high school senior graduating this year in Bonner County including public, private and homeschool students. 

• Juneau Family: For any Bonner County senior who is interested in pursuing a career pertaining to people with special needs. Preference will be given to students attending a Christian college/university.

• Life Choices Pregnancy Center: For any Bonner County senior pursuing a post-secondary education.

• Marine Corps William E. Barber Memorial: For any Bonner County senior who has a relative that has served or is serving in the United States Marine Corps.

• Panhandle Piecemakers Quilt Guild: Open to any high school senior graduating this year in Bonner County including public, private and homeschool students. 

• Panida Theater: For any Bonner County senior with an interest in pursuing a career or involvement in theater, film , music, or other aspects of the performing arts.

• Patrick Orton "Live Your Dreams": For any Bonner County senior who wants to live their dreams.

• Pend Oreille Arts Council: For any Bonner County senior who has a passion in the performing or visual arts.

• PEO Chapter CA & V: Philanthropic Educational Association, Open to any girl graduating from any Bonner County high school.  Must demonstrate faith, love, purity, justice and truth.

• PONDERAY Rotary Club: For any Bonner County senior who demonstrates Rotary values of "Service Beyond Self" with an emphasis on community service and volunteerism.

• PRDC Forestry Scholarship Overview Any student from Priest River, Bonner County, or Pend Oreille County enrolling at U of I and interested in forestry education.

• Sagle Memorial: For any Bonner County senior who attended Sagle Elementary for at least 3 years.

• Sandpoint Eagles Lodge Aerie #589 Ladies Auxiliary: For any Bonner County senior who will be attending any type post-secondary education in the Pacific Northwest.

• Sandpoint Lions Georg Van Rossum Memorial:  For any Bonner County senior planning to attend a trade school.

• Southside Elementary PIE: For any Bonner County senior who attended Southside Elementary for at least 3 years.

• Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2453: Open to any graduating senior in Bonner and Boundary counties.  Applicant must be a family member of a Veteran, Active, Retired, Reservist that has served or is currently serving in the U.S. Military.

• Vietnam Veterans Chapter 890 Scholarship: Open to any graduating senior in Bonner and Boundary counties.  Applicant must be a family member of a Veteran, Active, Retired, Reservist that has served or is currently serving in the U.S. Military.

• William D. Martin The American Legion Scholarship: Open to any Bonner County senior; applicant must have an immediate family member who is a veteran. 

• Women Honoring Women: For any female Bonner County senior who demonstrates WHW qualities and values.

• Bismarck H. Turner: For any Bonner County senior who attended a primary educational institution in Bonner County and demonstrate financial need.

• Festival at Sandpoint Music Instrumental: Open to all Bonner and Boundary County high school students, regardless of post-secondary plans. Awarded scholarship funds not restricted to education. 

• Festival at Sandpoint Charley Packard Memorial Songwriting: Open to all Bonner and Boundary County high school students, no need to be a performer. All grade levels encouraged to apply, regardless of post-secondary plans. Awarded scholarship funds not restricted to education. 

• Festival at Sandpoint Music Appreciation: Complete a 4x6 postcard displaying how music impacts you. Open to all Bonner and Boundary County high school students, regardless of post-secondary plans. Awarded scholarship funds not restricted to education. 

• Festival at Sandpoint Vocal Excellence: Open to all Bonner and Boundary County high school students, regardless of post-secondary plans. Awarded scholarship funds not restricted to education. 

• Ponderay Rotary  Aeronautical Scholarship:  For any Bonner County senior who demonstrates Rotary values of "Service Beyond Self" and will be pursuing a job or degree in the aeronautical field.
