Dear Parents,

On behalf of the Faculty and Staff of Priest River Lamanna High School, I would like to welcome you to the 2018-2019 school year. I want to say what an honor it is to be given the chance to continue working with you as we “Strive for Greatness!”  These words contained within our district mission statement are quite powerful and really hit home as I reviewed the work that has been completed over the past year.  Everywhere I turned I saw great things happening for the betterment of our students.

At the beginning of every school year, there is always a lot of information to share and forms that need to be filled out. While it can be somewhat tedious to review the material and update information, the process helps us serve the student body more effectively and efficiently. To assist with this, returning students can now register and update information on our school website. The Student Handbook has been updated to reflect those changes in Idaho Code and district policy that affect our school and can also be found on our school website. I ask that you please review the handbook carefully with your student.

A significant change regarding grades will occur this year. We will no longer be sending out quarterly report cards. Parents can access their student’s grades by logging into the parent portal of Skyward found on our website. If you have not had the chance to log in to Skyward, please contact the main office for assistance. Because semester grades are reflected on a student’s transcripts, we will be sending out report cards at the end of each semester. As a reminder, our school day will once again begin at 7:50.

The start of the school year brings so many new beginnings to us all. For myself, I am looking forward to continuing my time here and working alongside our outstanding professional staff. I want to thank each patron, parent and guardian for your continued support and trust in allowing us to work with your students.  We recognize, honor, and support the role the family has in the education of our students, and I welcome any ideas for improvement, questions, comments or concerns as we work together to “Strive for Greatness.”

Go Spartans,
