Dear Students, Parents and Guardians,

On behalf of the Faculty and Staff of Priest River Lamanna High School, I would like to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year. Together as a school and community we accomplished a great deal and made great strides in raising standards and subsequently improving our school.  As we continue growing together, I ask for your help and guidance through the establishment of a site council here at the school, or by you contacting me at any time. If you are interested in serving on the site council please contact me at the school.

We will once again be doing online registration and ask that you log into Skyward to update the necessary contact information. Students will then be able to get their schedules for the year. Contact the school if you have any questions concerning Skyward. Each year, there are updates to the Student Handbook. All students will be responsible for its contents. For your convenience, the handbook is on our school website. Next, our school day will begin at 7:48. Keep in mind we are not sending out quarter report cards. Report cards will be sent home at the semester. Parents can see where their student is currently performing at by using our Skyward system. Be advised the grades illustrated on report cards in the final semester column are your student’s current year to date grades. Meaning if the semester were to end at this point, the grade illustrated in the final semester column would be their final grade. Final semester grades are not an average between two quarters. Final semester grades will be posted on the transcript at the conclusion of the semester.

Finally, I ask that you review the District calendar found in the Quick Links section on our school web site. As we continue to focus on achieving high academic standards, final exams are given in all classes at the end of each semester.  Because of this, finals will be given the last two days of the school year. Please plan your calendars so there are no conflicts.

I want to thank each patron, parent and guardian for your continued support and trust in allowing us to work with your students.  We recognize, honor, and support the role the family has in the education of our students, and I welcome any ideas for improvement, questions, comments or concerns as we work together to “Strive for Greatness.”

Go Spartans,

Joseph A. Kren
