The purpose of this page is to inform all of what is happening in the  PRLHS art classes.
Our students have amazing talents in a variety of mediums that need to be seen!
Thank you so very much for joining me on their adventure!

Art Comprehension 1
Students understand how the artist Banksy has made a name in the world of art.  They are learning how to write in graffiti style their own personal name using acrylic paint on cardboard.  We have moved on to one point perspective in a mixed media project.

Painting 1
Students understand the various techniques used in watercolors.  They researched the Group of Seven artists and chose one of the paintings to pattern after.  After completing three different watercolors, the students will move on to acrylics.

Drawing 1
Students understand how the quality of line affects the mood of the drawing.  They have challenged  themselves with a study of M.C. Escher's work.  Currently working on parts of the skeletal system transferred to black scratch paper.

Students understand clay and the process of hand building.  Creating a pinch pot they learn how to attach clay pieces together. We've moved on to making clay coils and learning about glazing.
